«The Spade» 2025

This story follows a community of insects living in a cosy but slightly boring compost heap in an old empty, dead garden. When one day a spade arrives and they are confronted by scary changes they band together to try and stop the humans from destroying their home.

In an abandoned garden that has been left to decay for many years, an unusual community of crawling creatures finds its home in the compost heap. One day, the insects see something that sends them all into a panic: A spade ! However, what initially seems like doom holds a surprising twist. 

In the end their attempts are unsuccessful,but the changes turn out not be as bad as they’ve expected. The story explores themes of working together and dealing with big life changes.
